Two More Years

 Funny how fast a couple of years can slide by. Can't say it went unnoticed or unrecorded: I have been keeping a journal of thoughts. But I haven't been recording workouts, although I have been doing them. We did finally sell the Hammond house, and downsized a bit. I have no space here, and so haven't been able to set up a hangboard. Have been climbing at the gym a lot, and am in ok shape for it, although I can't say I've made any big gains since last I wrote. Climbing maybe hard 5.11, easy 12. 

Put in a little over 1,000 miles on the bike last year. Took almost two months off of riding just because it's been wet and cold as usual; but I have gotten a couple of rides in in the last week. Definitely lost a bit of fitness, but I'm not too far off, and that'll come back quickly. I was a li'l disheartened by my time on Alien yesterday: exactly an hour. But earlier last season, I was elated to crack an hour, and yesterday's trail was still ice-packed and muddy in the most techy sections. So I really can't call that a bad ride. 

Have also been lifting again for the last couple of months. I'm only lifting about one day per week, and am basically keeping it to pullers. Been doing Deads, weighted P'lups, DB Rows, Good Mornings, and hanging Leg Raises. Did pull 445 two weeks ago for a new max. Been doing the 5/5/5 workout on Deads, and that little bit of structure has helped a lot. Still can't figure out what the point of pulling very heavy is for me: doesn't cross over all that well into anything else that I do. But it sure is fun. Been doing reps with up to 120s on DB rows. I did get a couple of reps with BW +100 on Pullups last Wednesday, although I needed a heavy spot on the second rep. 

Seriously trying to get a barn built so I can have a place to train here, if I can get Princess Ennui on board to actually get it done. I really want to start posting training sessions here again. It's motivating. Especially, I think, respecting weight loss. For the last year or so, I've been stuck in the 210 range. Can't seem to get below 207ish for any sustained period.
