Week one

Let's just see here... That was friday. So yesterday i did do chest and abs. That actually went well enough. Worked up to i think a couple sets of 5 with 80s on incline DB press. Pretty good for me. Sucked it up on dips (as usual). Um, set of 30 on straight leg raises; then 3 more sets of 10 with ankle weights. Then i worked up to a few sets with an 85lb DB on side bends. Then some kind of weird pec-deck-esque machine they just got in. Strange polyarticular beast. Jury's still out on that un. Not a bad workout though. i would like to get a li'l more serious with the core workouts.

Today i ran. It went better than the last run. 35ish mins. Didn't take the hr monitor, but i pushed it fairly hard. Wasn't sucking wind quite so badly today (or if i was, it didn't hurt as bad).

Anyhow, that caps the first week of this here diet. i feel like it's going fairly well. i have been eating some rice, and i've been eating many non-green veggies. But i've otherwise been pretty faithful. No beer, and no dip--and i was jonesing somethin' awful today. Also i've been doing some fruit/protein smoothies post-workout nearly daily. i'm hoping flax seed don't have gluten in, 'cuz i've been throwing some of that in for fiber and omega 3.

Thoughts? Anyhow, praying for yas. Peace.

I feel like cow crap. I was feeling great and doing well on the diet until Sunday morning. I think I slept like twenty hours and ate virtually nothing. I'm going to shoot for a workout today, but I really don't see that going well at all. But I'm still in the game. And for the record, I ran more than you did last week.

EXcellent. Glad to hear you're not a quitter. A brotha' can't be held responsible for getting sick. Hang in there.
